This beer was originally intended to be Donkey Deux, however we threw it into second use Heaven Hills Bourbon barrels, that was back in 2016. A little over a year later, we added some tart cherry puree to the barrels. The beer sat on the cherry for nearly another year before we pulled it out and packaged it.

Draft pour, enjoyed at Hop and Hound. A reddish orange pour, and cloudy. Interesting brew here. Cherry aroma and flavor up front. It's hardly recognizable as a dubbel. Smooth for it's strength. Some wood, barrel notes, and it really compliments the cherry. Easy drinking, bigger beer here. Very nice.
