Draft pour at Cascade Lakes. It appears this beer has transitioned to a more modest role, as it is listed at 6.5% and mentions no barrel. Still the Silverback Stout, brewed with the extensive variety of grain. A near black pour. Toasty flavor. Coffee over chocolate favored aroma. Flavor is coffee like bitterness, roasted malt, and dark chocolate. A good stout overall

On Tap black with a thin tan head and spotty lacing. Lots of clean dark roast, cold camp fire and some coffee. Mostly sharp dark roast in the flavors. Not particularly complex, fairly dry and straight forward. Clean and sharp. Lots of piney IBUs. This I think would mellow nicely.

Draught. Black pour with thin beige head. Light aroma, caramel and roast. A little lacing. Mild flavour with malt, a little coffee, a little chocolate. Some wateriness in the finish.
