A soft and sweet mild in the style that slaked the thirst of Birmingham’s manufacturing industries. Fuggles hops in the background but dominated by chocolate malt and other dark malts. A real session beer.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is fruity, floral and also has some mild metallic notes. Flavour is toasted malts, mild liquorice along with some slight ashes. Pleasant flavour, but the metallicness in the aroma is not that pleasant.
