On tap at the brewery pours out dark brown topped with a tan head. Nose is ash smoke crisp roast malts some pine. Taste is more of the nice roast malts pine and ash.

Draft pour schooner at the collective. Pours as black as it can get, with a thin tan foam head. Mild chocolate and roast aroma. I love trying beers from breweries that I am close to or completely unfamiliar with. I get a chance to try a solid beer like this one, and remember to add it to my stop list for my next trip. Nice rich chocolate flavor, with hints of espresso and vanilla. Has a black coffee like finish to it. Light cream to it, but an overall big flavor. What I surprise. Loved this beer.
