A true American styled IPA. The six hop additions lead to a well rounded IPA. At 69 IBUs, one might not think that this is overly hoppy, but with almost half of the hops being added at the knockout stage (and therefore not giving any ratable bitterness) the hops are there and in force! This IPA is big and delicious ... one not to be missed!

Cask at The Craven Arms; cloudy amber pour with smooth white head, citrus aroma, very bitter taste with citrus a hint of sweet malts.

Cask (gravity) @ Cambridge Winter Ale Festival 2013, at the University Social Club, Mill Lane, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England CB2 1RX.Unclear medium amber orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, grass, grapefruit, orange - citrus, sweet hops. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet hops, citrus, caramel, light grassy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130119]
