Sample @ GABF 2019. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty woody licorice aroma. Roasted malty woody bourbon chocolate and licorice flavor. Has a roasted malty woody bourbon chocolate finish.

Ah yes, purchased at Total Wine in Santa Fe a month or so back. Stamp on the bottom of the 16 oz can says canned on 12/19/19. I dig the minimalist label as in it’s really hard to read. Must be part of the plan. Imperial stout, bourbon barrel aged, oversized can, all going the right direction. Pop the tab and pour into my Cowtown snifter to determine a rich black body, glorious mocha head. The smell is roasty burnt malt and chocolate. I take a drink, geez, I should’ve bought more. A reach-around dark chocolate with a healthy bourbon influence, malt, toffee, berry and grain. Pretty impressive.
