A stout out of my ever-dwindling inventory of 750 ml bottles, it is the way of the future. Tonight my New Belgium snifter gets the duty as I open the bottle and make the pour. The liquid is a dark chocolate brown with a bubbly top of light tan foam. Likewise the nose is heavy with chocolate followed by coffee and a touch of booze. With a drink I find this to be a beer of restraint. Assuredly a chocolate introduction with a subtle amount of coffee, toffee and a hint of bourbon. The sensation is a bit thin also.
