Subversive Strawberry Attack

Another 33 cl bottle from an appreciated package delivered by Belgian Happiness. Quadrupel is great, strawberry I like too, wine barrels, eh. Let us see how it works out. My Teku glass is arrayed for the tasting this evening. The fragrance is the most obvious from the pour, strawberry for sure, chocolate and then some floral. I see a dark chestnut brown body followed by a persistent head of straw colored bubbles. The taste is certainly something different. Very much a fruity, strawberry opening with dark fruit also, malt, yeast, a vinous presence, spice and meadow. Not particularly my thing but definitely interesting.
