Cask at the farmers boy st albans. Honey heather faint aroma. Tea flavour some floral spicy hop. Clear straw colour fleeting white head.

Appearance: Clear golden color with a small white head.
Aroma: Mild citric hoppy, malty and mild fruity.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet and a mild bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Mild caramel malty, citric hoppy and fruity.
Overall impression: Decent nice golden ale.

On cask at The Barton Turns, pours a clear faded blonde with a small white head. Aroma of grapefruit, zesty citrus, and bready malts. Flavour of bready malts, subtle notes of grapefruit and citrus zest. Pretty smooth, though not very flavourful. Drinks very easily. Decent stuff.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2012, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX.Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity, moderate hoppy, citrus, green grass. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, light bright honey sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120807]

Cask at the Bell, Banbury, 15/02/13. Clear pale golden with a thin white head. Nose is citrus, hops, pale malt. Taste comprises hops, orange, light grass, touch of grapefruit. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, some bitterness in the finish. Ok stuff.

Cask@GBBF2012. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is honey, nectar, earth, wood and some caramel. Flavour is tropical fruits, honey, sweet malts, nectar, mild grassyness as well as some earth.

Cask at the Bridge, Kingswinford. Pours orange gold with a medium head. Aroma is grapefruit and straw. Taste has strong grapefruit juice to start and a bitter grapefruit juice finish.

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours clear, pale yellow with a fine foam head. Zesty lemon in the nose with straw and delicate dough. Medium sweet flavor with doughy malts, some dirty straw and lemon rind. Light in body with fine carbonation. Crisp, lightly sweet finish with faint grassy bitters, more straw and hay. A decent golden ale overall.

[Cask at the William Robert Loosley (JDW), High Wycombe] Gold, thin white head. Tropical fruits up front, with lemon increasing as you drink more. Sweet, but plenty enough hops to balance it making it pleasingly refreshing. Recently I said that Banks only seemed to produce good beers under the guidance of the Wetherspoons guest brewers - I now take this back, they have produced a decent beer all by themselves! c4
