Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours black with dense off-white head. Aroma of cold coffee, rubber, phenolic, metallic. Tastes slightly sweet with roasted bitterness. Massively overcarbonated - probably infected.

Dark brown colour with a thick medium sized tan head. Burnt malt, chocolate and coffee aroma initially, some astringent notes. Burnt malt sweetness, hints of chocolate but predominately coffee grounds. A dry ashy finish.

Bottle @ home. Almost opaque dark brown color, medium sized off-white head that leaves fair lacing. Aroma is quite faint, I only get malts, a hint of caramel, a little earthy. Taste malts, again some caramel, a touch of hazelnut, earthy, lightly ashy, quite some roast and moderately bitter with a slight touch of red fruit in the background. Decent body, suitable quite soft carbonation. Good porter.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours opaque dark brown, 2 inch foamy beige head from hal-pouring the bottle. A tad over-carbonated. Aromas are acidic, burnt malt, ash. Taste is tar, light liquorice, charcoal. Coffee coming through, and dark chocolate. Prickly carbonation though.
