bottle - Pours golden with a big, billowy white head. It smells of spicy yeast, grainy malt, citrus, and alcohol. The flavor is very sweet but the dry hopping seems to cut it enough to keep that sweetness from being overpowering. It’s fruity and yeasty with some dryness in the finish. Alcohol is noticeable but not too strong. Very good.

Sample at the "Post Beer Week Bottle Share" on 06/06/16. Hazy golden color with a thick white head that recedes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, tropical fruit and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of herbal yeast, white grape, grainy malt and spice. The finish is sweet with a white grape and yeast aftertaste. Wasn’t sure what to expect with a double-digit ABV Saison but this is a pretty good beer.

Tap at the brewery - turbid gold - nose of musky pineapple, mango, citrus, white grape - moderate carbonation - flavor is fairly sweet, but the complex flavors of tropical fruit make that sweetness work, especially since the sweetness is not sticky or cloying - the nelson hops add a slight spicy kick to the finish - finish of mango and papaya - decent brew, but last year’s was much better.
