Comparable to a Tripel although lighter and crisper, with floral and fruit aromas.
Smooth but noticeable alcohol warmth – complex and delicate.
Originally developed by the Moortgat brewery after WWII as a response to the growing popularity of Pilsner beers.
Packaging: Available in draft (1/2, 1/6) only. Monstre is best served in a 5-8 oz chalice.
Specifics: Deep Golden Tan with depth, off-white head and Belgian lace. Subtle and complex with banana, pineapple, clove, and spice.

tap - Pours hazy gold with a big white head. It smells of malt and spicy yeast. The flavor is super-sweet, practically a sugar-bomb. There’s some Belgian yeast character but to me any complexity that might be there is overwhelmed by the cloying sweetness. Medium body and a little boozy, it’s drinkable but is seriously lacking in balance.
