Sample on tap at ACBF. Pours a clear, dark, brown color, with a fair, khaki head. The aroma is dates, maple, raisins, cardamom, pecans, vanilla, oak, and toffee. Sweet and yeasty, with a very faint bitterness to balance. Heavy body, with a sharp, warming mouthfeel. This is a fun, unexpected, complex, and aromatic beer. Great barrel notes, on top of a quality beer.

Bottle from Tavour Copper brown in color with a small off white head that dissipates quickly. Dark fruit light chocolate with some earthy notes and a bit of vanilla and faint oak tannin. A bit of warming alcohol comes out especially as she warms. Well made dark sipper.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with frothy off white head that lasts. The aroma is oak, licorice, raisin. Medium mouth, sweet roast, similar flavors to nose, hides alcohol well, very good.
