Bold, resinous and bursting with bright grapefruit aroma, this IPA is a tribute to the decades of hard work by conservationists to restore the James River as a bounty of vibrant aquatic life, eco-friendly recreational activity, and in our case, fresh brewing water. These efforts have culminated recently with the symbolic return of the endangered Atlantic sturgeon, a prehistoric, yet majestic behemoth of a fish, spotted as far up the James River as the fall line in Richmond.

Spacebar, Falls Church tap: pours orange with a white head. Aroma is light pine flowers and a hint of citrus. Taste is a bit bitter. Not much sweetness. Some maltiness. Not a very memorable IPA.

On draft at pizzeria paradisio it is a golden color with a slight head. The aroma is citrus and the taste is strong bitter grapefruit that lingers bitter on the palAte

Sampled from a 16 oz can this beer poured a dark amber color with an enormous soapy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was tangy sour caramel, pine, resin and a bit of lemon. The flavor was bitter pine, resin, tangy malts and sour caramel. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.
