50cl bottle. Pours dark brown to black, probably cola in reality, gentle bubbles and a nicely proportioned head. The nose has raisins and hazelnuts. The taste is more of ginger biscuits and toffee. The palate is medium bodied with a tangy texture and a drying finish. Overall, this has a lot of taste for 3%, though slightly less enjoyable than the Dark Munro.

Subtle mild ale, but the flavour is strong enough within its own style to hide the fact this is low in alcohol content.

Cask @ Bon Accord. Clear brown colour, off-white head. Aroma is lslight caramel malts, bit of roastiness and coffee. Flavour is roasted malts, coffee, roastiness. Slightly bitter finish. Good stuff.

Cask @ Old Mill, Brodie. Appearance - Ruby brown with white head. Aroma - slight dark slight roast malts, not a lot on the nose. Taste - bit sweet dark malts, no hop, rather watery and thin. Overall - I haven’t come across a cask beer at such a low abv (3.0%). Good as an experiment, certainly a drinkable beer with some flavour but rather too thin. Perhaps the abv is just too low - I feel it would be improved with a bit more body, perhaps abv at 3.5%.
