The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is loads of hops and pine. Taste is bitter with some powerful hops. Nice and well balanced. Citrus flavors predominate without being too much grapefruit. Nice body. Nice aftertaste.

On draft at Whiskey Jack’s in Big Sky MT. Pours a hazy copper with an off white head. Citrus hop nose. Flavors of mandarin orange finishing with grapefruit. Medium bodied. High carbonation. Bitter finish.

The appearance has a hazy orange/amber colored body with a two and a half fingers worth of foamy head, it rises a bit and starts to gently settle, takes a good two minutes before it died into the body, lacing is spotty, clingy and tight, some carbonation is seen rising.
The smell has some strong juicy citrusy hops (wish there was a date on this, but I’m thinking this is super fresh), light malts underneath start to come out as it warms.
The taste is bittersweet just like a superb AIPA should be, juicy citrus aftertaste, and a tight bitter dry finish.
The palate is light, sessionable, carbonation is a little bit under on the AIPA, but comes across really smooth to me, perhaps could be construed as watery to some people, but I’m diggin’ this one.
Overall, I didn’t know this beer was going to be this good. I would have this again.

Bottle purchased from Bring On The Beer.
A- pours a clear bright 24k gold with a 2 finger head of foam, does well with the lacing.
S- strong piney nose mixed with that;s almost like a floor wax aroma. I can tell this is going to be bitter but in a good way or a bad way?
T- very piney bitter on first sip with no sign of any balancing malt. The more I sip, the more the pine off shoots to an aspirin bitterness. Again, no sign of any malt and that could have been a saving grace. Long lasting, on the nasty side, bitterness ensues. Oh my.
M- good body and carbonation so no complaints there.

Bottle from Beer Junction, West Seattle, WA, USA. A dark orange/golden coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Hoppy, floral aroma. Tastes hoppy, grapefruit, citrus fruit, slightly bitter. Nice IPA.

Bottle, 12 oz. A small off-white head sits on top of a clear, dark golden body. A bit weak on the nose, with grassy, piney and citrusy hops. Some watermelon. The flavor has a fine bitterness to support some pale malts and sweetness. Grass, pine cones and a faint hint of cooked vegetables too. Lightly citrusy. Full body, soft carbonation. Mostly bitter finish. A quite nice one indeed, but not world class in any way. 130630

Bottle split at Endo’s, from Newport Ave Market Bend, 26/05/13. Very lgihtly hazed golden with a thin white head that clears to a film. Nose is caramel, hops, bitter fruits, grass. Taste comprises caramel malt, bitter orange, hops, light grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp finish with lifht hop bitterness. Entry level IPA - not one to revisit.
