Cask at Moon Under Water, Wolverhampton. Pours a hazy golden yellow with minimal foamy white head and good lacing. As for aroma, first sniff gives malts, the second gives hops and the third gives tropical fruits – take your pick ! In the mouth it is dry and hoppy. Conventional bitterness is understated at first, but grows gradually to dominate. Flavour has melon and orange peel with a hint of spice. Dryness returns at the finish. This is decent – nice and refreshing.

Cask-conditioned, at the Robert Fitzharding (JDW), Bedminster ,1 June 2023. Pale gold colour with a slight, white, head. A little sweetish stone fruit character, sharp lemon citrus, light malts, leading to a dryish finish. Fine.

On cask. Appearance - golden with a very light hop haze. White head. Nose - honey, biscuit and lemon. Taste - honey, caramel, lemon zest and an edge of sultana. Palate - close to medium bodied, creamy and tangy and kinda bittersweet on the finish. Overall - decent.

Cask at the Standing Order. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light toffee, biscuit and faint orange. Taste is quite bitter up front, then a lingering sweetness. On point for the style.

Cask at Company Inn (JDW), half pint shared with Finn. Hazy golden body, lacing rings from a white layer. Herbal hops on the nose, citric hints. Mid-sweet lemony hops to the taste buds followed by a decent bittersweet tail. Okay with the traditional breakfast (Nottingham 20.02.2016).
