Pickener Farmhouse Ale is a collaboration brew between Brekeriet and the German phantom brewer Pickener. This saison is fermented with different yeast strains, including Brettanomyces yeast. The beer is refermented in the bottle which gives a thin layer of yeast at the bottom of the bottle. The taste of the beer will continue to develop for a long time in the bottle.

Bottled at SBWF. Hazy golden, small head. Mild funky nose. Medium bodied with rounded sparkling mouthfeel. Fruity with some salt and cobwebs. Low-medium bitterness. Quite interesting, but with not enough malt depth for my liking.

Sample at SBWF 2012. Slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma and taste of perfume, spices, malt and hay. Quite light mouth feel. Nothing special with this one. Drinkable.
