A black, black stout, packed with chocolate malt and Pioneer hops, and a hint of vanilla.
Pioneer Stout is another early brew which has been retained. It's very dark, thanks to 10% Chocolate malt and a bit of Black. The Pioneer refers to the main hop used. A bit of vanilla is added to round off the bitterness.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Qite much black colour, small brown head. Aroma is mild roasted notes, chocolate, some old coffee as well as mild ashes and liquorice + toffee. Flavour is quite similar in a rather nice balance.
