Smell of caramel. Copper colour, beige head. Stinging aroma. Alcohol, overripe berries, rotten fruit. Oily texture, mild carbon. Gets a bit softer with temperature.

Bright clear amber beer, little white head. Dry palate. Toffee malt, dry bubblegum and some pretty bitter hops. Little marmalade orange underneath. Dry finish. The juxtaposition of bubblegum and intense bitterness is a bit much for me. Creamy malt buried in there somewhere.

Bottle at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Colour is hazy amber with small white head. Aromas and flavours are caramel, hops, fruits and malts. Too carbonated.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of joergen. Pours a hazy amber with a small and lacing, creamy beige head. Greasy hop aroma, quite some phenols and a little caramel. Solid body, fruity, caramellish and yeasty - altogether very British! Rustic and somewhat crude bitter finish. The Simcoes are VERY well hidden! Very, very British in style! 031212

Bottle shared by Cuso, thanks! Lightly hazy orange-amber colour. Aroma alcohol, fruity, sugary, light spicy. Taste is strong alcohol, medium fruits, light hops. Turns more hoppy after a while. Finish is long, drinkability high. Very good, though the alcohol could be hidden better.

Bottle, 22oz. Looking quite good in the glass, with a dense, finger-thick light beige head over an unclear, amber body. The aroma has quite a lot of toffee, with some dried fruits and resiny, piney hops. The flavor is quite bitter, with toffee, dried fruits and resiny hops. Quite dry, especially judging from the aroma, full-bodied and pleasantly carbonated. Bitter, toffee-ish finish. 121109
