Flaske fra Systembolaget Vasagatan Stockholm, delt med Einar: brunsvart med lysebrunt skum. Aroma og smak av overmode mørke bær, noe sjokolade og karamellsaus (smaker atskilig bedre enn det høres ut!). Middelsfylde, lang ettersmak med et aldri så lite hint av salt. En god og ikke minst, lettdrikkelig porter.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BBE 12/15, from Systembolaget, 20150410) The beer poured clear and almost black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had liquorice, sourness and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sourness, sweetnes, coffee and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, sweet and bitter. Not so good stout. A weird combination of sweetness, burntness and sourness.

Aug ’14. A 0.5 l bottle from some Systembolaget in or around Stockholm. It poured clear brown reddish body with small head. Fine caramel aroma along with coffee and chicory. Flavor was lightly sour, roasted malty - mostly coffee with some chocolate especially later on in its nice long smooth and rounded finish. Quite pleasant and elegant, but very thin in body. Sourness in the flavor was occasionally a bit bothering in the whole experience. All in all, a fine porter.

50cl bottle from Systembolaget, Strömstad. Pours very dark mahogany, close to black with not much head to speak of. Moderate aroma of dark malts, chocolate, dark fruits and hints of licorice, vanilla, wood and dried fruits. Medium to moderate sweet with mild dark malty flavours and a fairly balanced bitterness. Fairly easy to drink but feels a bit thin and watery. Fair enough, but nothing I would buy again.

50cl bottle from Systembolaget. Near black, thick off-white head. Mild aroma, some woody notes, some roasted malt. Flavor has roasted malt, cocoa powder as well as some soury milky notes. Medium carbonation. Mediocre porter.

Bottled 500ml. -Almost black coloured, small brownish head, heavy sweetness in the nose with touch of dried fruits. Light roasted malt, caramel, some chocolate and fruits with notes of caramel and raisins in the finish. No alcohol detected but overall sweetness rules here.

Black colour with frothy, pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, dark chocolate, tobacco and a generous roasty bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness.

Appearance: Dark brownish color with a tan head.
Aroma: Slightly sweet malty, light chocoalte and light fruity.
Palate: Medium body. A bit sweet and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Sweet caramel malty, light chocolate and light fruity.
Overall impression: Not to fancy this one.
