Brewed with 35% malted rye & 65% Maris Otter barley imported from England. Boiled 24 hours for intense natural wort caramelization. Aged for 15 months in freshly emptied Sagamore Rye Whiskey barrels. We smell & taste intense impressions of charred pumpernickel crust, caramelized raisin compote, cherry cordial cake, golden rum cake, and whiskey pecan pie.

Can thanks to Joe! Pours a clear deep brown with an amber hue and a thin tan head that dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma has caramel and sweet grains with some light fruits and toffee underlying. Flavor has strong cookie and caramel with toffee and a bit of light fruits.

16 oz can from Downtown Crown, shared by jcos, 7/13/24. Darker brown color, thin head. Big, sweet, and malty. Raisin, run cake. Whiskey. Brown sugar. Caramel and toffee. Lots of flavor. Booze is pretty well hidden. Smooth feel. Full bodied. Nicely done.
