A classically executed schwarzbier (German-style black lager) with hints of roasted coffee and a touch chocolate with a crisp, dry finish. Don’t let the color fool you, it drinks nice & easy.

16 ounce can from Lower Merion Beverage in Ardmore, PA. Translucent dark brown color. Creamy beige head. Subtle roasted malt aroma has chocolatey notes. Flavor is dark roasted malt, cocoa and mild coffee. Smooth and drinkable. Dries out on the backend. Spicy hop finish. Nice interpretation of the style.

Tapster Philly: pours near black with a beige head. Aroma is weird licorice notes and hints of coffee. Weird. Almost thin. Weak chocolate finish. Not sure what is going on here.

Lukr at the brewery, 1/15/24. Dark brown. Roast and bitter. Tons of flavor. This is a pretty nice one.
