SELL BY 12/2014 - Pours pitch black with a brown head. Aroma of tart apples, wood, roasted malts, sweet syrup and tangy notes. Taste is strong, sweet and vinous with loads of roastiness, sweet tart apples, calvados notes and wood. Finish is roasted and sweet with notes of wood and licorice. Quite untypical, heavy and complex imperial stout. Feels a bit unbalanced and too sweet for my taste. Not sure if the tart apple notes are intentional or not.

Re-rate 3/14: Bottle shared at a tasting at Neiman’s place. Chocolate, sweet, some soy sauce. a bit of alcohol. Silky, a bit syrupy. Great. 7/4/8/4/15=3.8
Bottle shared at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Alex420 for this bottle! Black-colored with a bit of light brown foam. Roasty aroma with vanilla, a bit of coffee, some acidity and a bit of alcohol. Sweet roasty flavor with lots of vanilla and a bit of chocolate. Medium to full-bodied. Pretty nice. 6/4/7/4/14=3.5

Draught @ GEIB, Grande Esposizione Italiane della Birra 2012, Nuova Fiera di Roma, via Portuense 1645, Rome, Italy 00100.Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, cacao, vanilla, alcohol, moderate roasted. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet sugary, chocolate, alcohol - buzzy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic - buzzy warm. Nice but to sweet and buzzy IMO. [20121215]

18/02/2013 330ml bottle. Nera, densa, impenetrabile, buona schiuma cappuccino, cremosa e persistente.
