Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Pub this beer poured a dark red-brown color with a small khaki head. The aroma was sweet and malty, a bit roasty and had undertones of fruity hops. The flavor was dryish and a little bitter though malty and slightly roasty. There was a light fruity hop element.

Slightly perfumy aroma. Cloudy and darker than the typical pale yellow lager. Has a brownish red hue to it. Barely any head. Expected more bitterness on the taste buds for some reason. Rather mild and enjoyable for a lager lover. Well mannered and friendly. One of the better Irish reds I’ve tasted. Finish is non assuming and pleasant. Easy to like. Barely any carbonation.
