Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky brown color with a medium sized creamy white head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was sweet raisin, fig, cherry, yeast and jam. The flavor was very sweet with toasted caramel, raisin, fig, jam, yeast and a boozy presence. Very long finish, Full bodied. The booziness grows and the flavors get wonderfully intense as it warms. Excellent.

If you like barley wine, ignore my numbers. Slight sweet aroma, no hint of what lurks within. Off yellow cloudy and just ever so slightly brown. Alky flavor impact on the first swig. Quite a shock to the girlie taste buds. Some carbonation, surprising for a heavy barley wine like this. Strong syrup effect that coat the inside of yer mouth. Candy and alcohol soaked fruit is ever present. Too much! If you like barley wine, you better look up this special brew. .
