Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a dark red-brown color with a khaki head. The aroma was dry and roasty with hints of floral and fruity hops. The flavor was dry, roasty and bitter with touches of fruit, wood and nut. The finish was long with roasty fruit and wood. Solid.

Sweet nuttish aroma and slightly darker than the Copper Kettle. More brownish than yellow. Has a nice head that hangs for a while. It has lots of small and larger bubbles on the head. Good nut brown taste that has an earthyness to it. Barely any carbonation. Slight malty bitterness that is barely detectable. The finish is well mannered but it does impart a slight malty back of throat bitterness that at least lets you know you drank a decent ale.
