The people of Tampa Bay have fallen prey to a pirate invasion annually for well over 100 years. After more than a century of failing to repel these seafaring raiders in their anachronistic wooden ships and despite access to modern sea, land and air arsenals that ostensibly should make short work of wind powered vessels equipped with naught but cast iron cannons and raging scurvy, it occurred to the folks of Cigar City Brewing that if you can’t beat them, start saying “Arrrr Matey!” We have brewed Invasion Pale Ale, a citrusy, tropical and low-alcohol session beer brewed for those long days of marauding, pillaging and pirating. Sampled from tap at Borefts 2016. Clear, pale yellow with a white head. Sweetish, fruity-grassy aroma of lemon peel, pineapple, passion fruit and fresh grass. Sourish-fruity, slightly bitter taste of lemon peel, pineapple, grapefruit and fresh grass, followed by a medium long, rather dry-bitter finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

van tap @Borefts 2016, gouden met witte kraag. aroma van citrus, grapefruit, gras, flink hoppig, mout. Smaken van gras, fris, dun/waterig, flink hoppig, matig bitter, vers, tropisch fruit.

Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2016. Leicht trübes goldgelbes Bier mit geringen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch trocken hopfig, sehr frisch, grasig. Tap. Rather clear golden color with white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, sweaty. Taste is tropical fruits, a bit sweaty. Medium carbonation. Works out.

Tap at Borefts. Slight hazy light golden with white head. Tropical fruits, quite some mineral notes, peach, pineapple, mango, grassy. Light malts underneath. Medium bitter and light sweet. Almost medium bodied with a bit fizzy carbonation.

Clear orange beer, small creamy white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lovely fruitiness, lots of passion fruit, pineapple, mango, bit sweet. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very bitter start, resinous, bit watery, some tropical fruits. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, bit herbal, minty, bit spicy, dry finish.

Tasted from the tap on the 18/09/2016. Hazy golden colour with a medium thick lacing. Aroma of hops, malts and pine. Taste is citrus fruits, rich malts and resin. Next one please!
