The people of Tampa Bay have fallen prey to a pirate invasion annually for well over 100 years. After more than a century of failing to repel these seafaring raiders in their anachronistic wooden ships and despite access to modern sea, land and air arsenals that ostensibly should make short work of wind powered vessels equipped with naught but cast iron cannons and raging scurvy, it occurred to the folks of Cigar City Brewing that if you can’t beat them, start saying “Arrrr Matey!” We have brewed Invasion Pale Ale, a citrusy, tropical and low-alcohol session beer brewed for those long days of marauding, pillaging and pirating. Cheers!

Draft - Light earthy pine hop so. Clear gold with a decent white head. Dank herbal hops and a mellow bitterness that fades quickly. Decent but nothing special.

Draught @ Mikkeller & Friends. Aroma is hoppy with lots of grainy and peachy tones. Also some pineapple juice. Flavour is rather hoppy with pineapple juice, some minerals and exotic fruits. One fruit juice - but a good one.

Draught @ Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen

Pours orange with a smooth white head. Aroma of juicy fruits, tartish notes, grapefruit, citrus and lemon. Taste is smooth, juicy and lemony with some hoppiness and tartness. Finish is juicy, lemony and fruity with some hoppiness. Quite juicy pale ale. 3.5

Re-rated from a fresh can. Feels more fresh and juicier with loads of grassy and citrusy hops. Good.

Courtesy of Josh, can
Muddy orange color with generous creamy head. Strange aroma, big cereal malt, citrus hops, marzipan, mountain flowers. Dry mouthfeel in the front; strong cereals flavor, malt, biscuits, a touch of marzipan; strong but balancing bitterness; resiny hops, a bit piney, and orangey.
Very good. Peculiar.
