There’s treasure on these islands. Our rich, golden, traditional India Pale Ale is one of the most precious. Brewed from pale ale, roasted malts and a unique blend of hops from faraway shores, its crisp, balanced, herbal-citric style is ideal with spicy foods and grilled meats. An IPA with true island character.

Cask at 2015 GBBF. Liberation IPA pours brilliantly clear gold with a soild hoppy aroma. Medium body and it has a chalky mouthfeel. Lightly hoppy easy drinking stuff but fairly middle of the road.

At GBBF. Creamy, thickly lacing, yellowish white, clearly hops-enhanced head adorning a beautifully deep and pure amber colour with calm fizz, a bit hazy. Aroma of toasted bread, roasted pinenuts, caramel, fried egg but not unpleasantly so, flowers, some dried orange peel. Clean and crisp taste of dried berries with a soft, smooth, toasted and nutty maltiness underneath as well as a hint of clean and even refreshing, pure honey sweetishness; finish is florally hoppy, not thoroughly bitter but pleasantly fragrant retronasally, while the aftertaste remains juicily malty. Pleasant and well-balanced English style IPA.
