There’s treasure on these islands. Our rich, golden, traditional India Pale Ale is one of the most precious. Brewed from pale ale, roasted malts and a unique blend of hops from faraway shores, its crisp, balanced, herbal-citric style is ideal with spicy foods and grilled meats. An IPA with true island character.

Bottle. A clear, dark golden beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma is rather weak, with resins and grapefruit. A touch of malts too. The flavor has a nice bitterness, but it lacks on other hoppy flavors I think. Some resins and pine cones. Pale malts in the back. Medium body and a bit hard carbonation. Lasting bitter and dry finish. Overall, sure decent, but a tad boring, and lacking some on the hops. 140829

Cask @ Post Horn, St. Helier. Smooth and fresh beginning, intense and smooth. Fine hints of flowery hops. The mainpart is smooth, nice balanced malty with a nice floral bitterness. Not too sweet, but smooth fitting in! The aftertaste is fresh, easy to drink and still deep - nice sweetish maltiness with a subtle aroma of floral hops!
Much better than the bottled version!! 13/12/12/13

Bottle from Coop, St. Peter Port, BBE 02.15; 4.8%. The beer starts smooth, but not very floral. Grain, floral hints, a nice intense bitterness that gets more intense till the mainpart and end. Hints of floral hops, intense malty body that Thebes to become too sweetish, malty sweetish aftertaste, not many floral hops there, but I like the fresh and intense bitterness quite a lot!
