This beer is an inky black color with a medium tan head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of bourbon, rye, vanilla and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of rye whiskey, roast malt, vanilla and chocolate. The finish is mildly spicy rye and oaky bourbon. Pretty good beer all around.
