Draught at La Fine Mousse, Paris, 5.2% ABV
Dark brown color, with seared reflex, small head. Some aroma of apples. The roasted malt flavor is present but less than in the English Brown Ale and Oatmeal Stout (tasted side to side), slighter less dry mouthfeel, more year fruitiness, strong bitterness.
More balanced than the English Brown.

Bottled. An unclear brown beer a huge tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and spices, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a deep amber with a slight haze and a dense and frothy off-white head leaving quite some lacework. Lovely fresh and perfumy hop character in the nose. Medium body, subtle dry roast but it’s really the great and aromatic US hops that dominate this one. Not really bitter though. Nice one. 200912
