Bottle @ Avery SourFest III. Hazy, reddish violet appearance with an off white head. Pretty rich blackberry, dark berry, somewhat citrusy, pineapple, light vanilla aroma. The blackberry didn’t seem to come through in the flavor nearly as much for me with more of the vanilla, pineapple, citrus fruity, bretty characteristics more apparent. Pretty tasty beer nonetheless.

This brew pours a purplish-brown color with a medium off-white head that burns away steadily to a film. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of funky fruits, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with a tart berry character and notes of yeast, wheat and earthy malt. The finish is fruity with a mildly sour blackberry aftertaste. Pretty good gateway Sour overall.
