3 Johns stoneage lit cave. Keg. Hazy deep gold beer, small cream colour head. Best estimate of appearance by Phonelight in this very dimly lit poob. Smooth palate, fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Dry malts, sweetish with tangy caramel and bread. Piney hops. Bitter dry citric peel. Orange and grapefruit. Floral cittic peel, slightly sweeter. Light dry finish. Fuck me! This is a proper old school IPA, like the last decade and a half never happened. And that is its charm, unapologetically of days of yore. Long may there be beers like this to remind us where we came from.

Keg @ Kilder. Pours a misty orange, medium off-white head. Pine and resin on the nose. Continues to taste to form very much an old skool pine, resin, marmalade, citrus IPA character. Flavoursome, but not too exiting nowadays.

5 week old bottle A: Poured an orange gold color with 1" of thick beige foam. Good retention and sheets of lace. Clear but with lots of sediment suspended among active bubbles. S: Nice light mix of caramel, orange and pine. T: Very bitter orange pith and peel blending well with light caramel sweetness and a woody, zesty aftertaste. M: Light body and crisp texture for its strength but finishing very sticky. O: Very tasty and extremely well balanced for the hop bomb that it is. A bit north of my ABV sweet spot but well worth a purchase.

Keg at the bottle shop druid Street. A clear bet burnt orange coloured pour with a lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet chewy toffee, toasted grains, piney hop. Flavour is composed of biscuity malts, burnt toast, singed pine needles. Assertive harsh back of the throat bitterness. Palate is semi sweet, chewy, resinous, moderate carbonation. Ok.
