A southern German Hefe Weizen style made from 50% wheat and barley. (All traditionally floor malted and turned by hand.) Our choice of a top fermenting Bavarian wheat beer yeast has produced fruity esters of banana, peach and pear with a dry and tart edge. The prefix “Hefe” means “with yeast” hence this beer is unfiltered and cloudy in appearance. Wheat Store Ale is high in carbonation and is intended to be served cold. Enjoy this refreshing summer ale any time!

Bottle. Poured hazy to cloudy amber / brown with some white head. The aroma was distinctly bananas. The palate was light and fizzy. The initial flavour combined lemons, bananas, pear drops, bread and gave way to a reasonable hoppy bitterness. A pleasant wheat beer.
