Backlog October 2013. Clear, deep amber body under a nice, dense beuge head. Aroma has dark malt, caramel and some spices. Taste is sweet and malty with caramel, chocolate and a fine spicy touch. Medium body and more than less the same aftertaste. Decent.

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen (ØJ-dag share 03/11/2016) - dark brown pour with off-white head. Toasted and sweet malty, touch of roast, caramel and nutty notes, some treacle, dried fruit, cocoa notes, light spice to close.

Many thanks to Skinnyviking for a 500ml bottle of this one. 7.0 % abv. Low patchy beige head, faint lacing. Near clear, mahogany coloured body. Sediments to the last pour. Fine aromas of nuts, caramel, and chocolate malts. Roasted brown and black malty flavours linked with hoppy freshness, notes of spices and berries towards the ending. Soft in the mouth. Well bodied. Likable (Tromsø 01.01.2014).

Flaske hos Johnne, juli-13: deilig bæraktig aroma og en saftig smak av solbær og bjørnebær, godt balansert av vellykket humlebruk. De 7 vitaminene hokder seg diskret i bakgrunnen. Bra at vi ikke ventet helt til jul, selv om den var holdbar til 2015.

Bottle. Red amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is alcohol, spices, malt, hop. Flavour is alcohol, spices, malt, hop, caramel. Medium body. Nice/OK beer.

Bottle. A dense, finger-thick off-white to light beige head forms over an unclear ruby to brown body. Rather malty aroma, nuts, caramel, some chocolate and some almost vegetable-like notes. Sweet, nutty flavor with caramel, chocolate and some faint notes of cooked vegetables. Full body, quite silky on the palate. Lasting finish. A quite nice one, although not as good as the best doppelbocks. 130222

Bottled. A brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, candy sugar, spices, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of bread, candy sugar, spices, and malt, leading to a dry finish.

Hazy dark chestnut colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of black bread, raisin, molasses and a spicy hint. Sweet fruity and malty flavour with dark fruits and a hint of smoke. A bit of a mess with too many things going on

Bottle 500ml.ABV: 7.0%. Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, caraml, spicy, dusty, x-mas spices, cinnamon, allspice. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, caramel, burnt malt, spicy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121110]
