We invited our friends from Long Live Beerworks in Providence down to North Haven to brew a big thick 12% stout. We put some in a few select freshly dumped bourbon barrels, and the rest was conditioned on peanuts, toasted coconut, cacao, and vanilla.

Peanut, cocoa nose, vanilla underneath. Mahogany, basically headless. Chocolate syrup, peanuts, molasses. Full body, easy carbonation.

Can (23300 so 10/27/23) pour from Steve. Inky black motor oil with nice viscosity. Aroma is strong roasted malt, coconut, peanuts, chocolate, vanilla. Taste is strong roasted coconut, roasted malt, vanilla, chocolate, late peanut (in lingering finish). Smooth, full bodied, soft carbonation. No sign of alcohol. Good complexity. Strong but avoids getting overly sweet. Nice but wouldn't want 16 oz. to myself.
