Appears dull brown but up to the light it’s a cracking ruby red colour, with a bubbly pinkish white head. Unsurprisingly the aroma is cherries, with some candy sugar too. Fresh and fruity, sweet cherry action, maybe a hint of marzipan and aniseed, some light malt and a dryish semi-tart finish

Bottle from Tesco. Clear ruby body with an off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of cherry, liquorice and boiled sweets. Flavour of cherry cola and Ribena. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Overly sweet but interesting.

Bottle from Waitrose in Amersham, Bucks. A dark brown/red coloured pour with a decent off white/beige head on top. Sweet cherry aroma as expected. Tastes rather sweet, cherry, slightly tart and a bit syrupy. It's an OK Belgian but it was pretty much as expected.

Bottle. Clear blood-red body with a small off-white head. Rather intense in aroma, mostly cherry and almond. Flavor is sweet cherry, hint of chocolate, almond and soda powder. Nice full bodied and fine aftertaste of sweet sherry that ends a tad more tart, probably as a result from the acidity. Drinkable but a bit too much on the sweet side for me.

Bottiglia.

33cl bottle from my local Waitrose. A tawny brown pour with a cherry red gleam and a fast fading beige head; medicinal cherry aroma; sweet in the mouth with strawberry and almond as well as cherry flavours; then a thin syrupy finish. A bit of a disappointment.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is huge artificial cherry syrup, cherry jam and cherry candy. A metallic touch in the finish. Flavour is quite sugary syrupy sweet, liquid candy. Body is medium. I was hoping for something akin to beer and a little more balanced from d'Achouffe, I severely dislike this artificial sugary concoction. Sorry.
