This is the latest addition to the Achouffe Brewery... The aroma of Cherry CHOUFFE gives pride of place to cherries. It also reveals notes of strawberry, almond, spices and sweet Port. Round-bodied, soft and delicate, Cherry CHOUFFE delights the gourmands among us. It has a satisfying finish, with a very slight bitterness.

Draft at the Pup & Duckling, Solihull. Poured a clear reddish purple colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is cherry. The flavour is moderate sweet and sour cherry. It’s a cherry beer. Nice to sip in super small quantities, but it’s really not for me!

As Chouffe Cherry. 0.33 l bottle at Le Restaurant du Faubourg, Beauvais Airport. Shared with petit Dina. Clear cherry red, medium frothy tan head. Aroma is light cherry juice and light caramely malts. Flavour is sweet cherry candy or bubblegum, light caramely malts, medium bitter spicy notes, cloves, herbs and a toasty touch. Not too sweet, hints of cherry skins, sour cherry and red wine. Moderate complexity, medium body, not too sticky, drinkable but lightly astringent. Finish is sweet and fruity. Not heavy or cloying, alcohol hidden with some warmth.

Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Redbrown colour. MOderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Some chryy notes.Moderate bitter flavor. Strong nice cherry notes. Average moderate bitter finsh. Oily palate.

A World Cup Of Beers#5. BELGIUM. An international brew with the football, this one is dark cherry in colour, towards brown from a certain distance. The actually cherry is on the sweet side, better in aroma than taste, not the most stated but always dominating any booziness that might otherwise be found from a beer of this strength. I'd probably advise stick to the normal version of Chouffe if you only ever try one. This one was enjoyed during the fifth game of the tournament - Qatar vs Switzerland.

Probably my favourite cherry beer. Not a beer to drink all night but very pleasant as an aperitif. Bottle from local supermarket, drank at home.

330ml bottle. Pours reddy brown with a large head. Aroma is cherry stone and almond, with some medicinal touches. Taste has cherry Coke to start, with cherry and cough syrup on the finish.
