From a pint can. Pours a cloudy greenish gold with an off white head. Aromas are herbal with a bit of melon. Flavors are fairly sweet honey and citrus.

Pint can from Niemuth’s, 4/6/23. Kind of a sickly greenish color. Thin head Average retention. Aroma of grapefruit, lime, tea, earth, pale malt. Taste is pine, grapefruit, earth, tea, lime. Juicy, mild bitterness. Not bad but kind of all over the place.

Can (4/5/22) pour. It's an opaque light pea green with tons of large, dark green floaties finally falling to the bottom in a 1/4-inch layer, nice sparkle, finger-width off-white head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong, bright, orange-lemon citrus with dank earthy cooking herb and hint of sweet grape. Taste is similar to aroma but sweeter--grape is on par with citrus and there may be a hint of honey to balance the herbal. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with thick texture, mild esophageal warmth, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, one of the more disgusting-looking beers I've ever had. The Nelson addition is a bit of an improvement but the hops seem more to be fighting/counteracting the herbal matcha rather than working together. I think my matcha beer days are over.
