Moving Slowly shares the same base recipe as "Just Because", We split this batch off and laid half to nap in a bourbon barrel until this exact moment. Our anniversary!
This 9% barrel aged version expresses the same caramelized sugar cookie and softened milk chocolate vibes but with a deeper cocoa and burnt sugar halo.

Taster pour on tap at the Rhode Island Brew Fest. It's an opaque black with cap of light brown head with good retention and decent lacing. Aroma is strong, pleasant bourbon, dark fruit, background malt and chocolate. Taste is strong bourbon over toffee. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, no sign of alcohol, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, the bourbon is a little too strong as it dominates the toffee in both aroma and flavor. A little thin and frothy for the style.
