Factory Porter is a classic coffee porter and our first collaboration beer with the Borealis Coffee Company. This beer has a light, crushable body, and a subtle chocolate and roasted malt character that pairs beautifully with the nutty, chocolaty flavors of Borealis “Team Crafty Signature Roast” coffee. Contains caffeine.

Taster pour on tap at the Rhode Island Brew Fest. It's a very, very dark brown--virtually opaque--with thin cap of beige head, quickly fading to a ring and light lacing. Aroma is really nice strong roasted malt and coffee, dark chocolate. Taste is strong coffee--some sweetness but a bit to the charred side. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste with lingering bitterness. Overall, too carbonated and, while aroma is nicely balanced, the flavor is a little too bitter for my liking but good strength, especially for 4.5%.
