On tap as part of a flight at the brewery. Appearance is opaque dark brown with no sparkle, thin cap of creamy light brown head (like Bailey’s Irish cream) with excellent retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is roasted malt with light pine and slightly smokey and tart elements. Taste follows aroma with strong pine and earthy roasted counterbalance and mildest of earthy tart elements late. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with smooth frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, would have liked the malts to be a smidge stronger to balance the pine. Still enjoyable.
