Creamy beige head stayed on a finely effervescent, translucent, copper coloured body. Spicy aroma with cinnamon & berries. Medium bodied, thinning to the back. Tingly on the palate & a cloying finish. Tastes like a spiced English Bitter with berries & spices. Bitter/Sweet over the tongue & a long bitter, peppery finish.

Spicy nose. Brilliant medium amber colour, good frothy off-white head, half-way lasting, light lacing. Aroma toasted malts, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, bit caramel, wet hay. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, light caramel, mild spicy notes. Malty sweetbitter aftertaste, husky notes, lingering spices and caramel. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation, lacks body which is a pity, nevertheless a nice beer.

500ml bottle. Clear, copper-ish, dark amber colour with average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Spicy aroma has a touch of clove and rabbit piss-drenched hay. Taste is minimally fruity and mildly spicy, hints of red berries, a touch of plum, very cautious hints of clove, ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon. Undetermined, unfocused, boring.

Cask-conditioned at the Lime Kiln, Bristol, 9/12/2015. Deep gold with a decent, off-white, head. Cinnamon, orange fruits and a hint of brown sugar, before a moderately bitter finish. An OK Christmas beer.
