12oz bottled April 24, 2015, drunk 12/30/15.
Incredibly carbonated, champagne-like appearance creates a massive white head that shows strong retention atop a golden-bronze body with light haziness.
Nose is pretty reserved, especially at first, but giving it time for the head to recede and some of the carbonation to burn off, it eventually begins to yield lightly sweet, white bread-like notes, biscuits, white pepper and a dominant note of peach.....Hmmm, not exactly what I look for in a saison. The peach mixes with the other esters, black and white pepper notes and alcohol to give off a very strong, dry, rather sharp character that’s much more reminiscent of an Abbey Trippel, or something along those lines. Vanilla, a touch of clove and tons of yellow fruit character. Eventually, towards the end of the glass, the aroma softens somewhat, and does show light pear, guava and black pepper. A little more dainty but very faint. Still, not saison-like at all.
The flavor is even less given over to a saison, being extremely full of white pepper phenol, lots of sharp alcohol and ester and bready to biscuity malts that provide less softness than I’d hope. Extremely carbonated, even after letting it sit and breath for quite a while. Just doesn’t have that fine, tight carbonation that the best examples have so it in turn doesn’t have that nearly creamy texture. Peach, nectarine, pear, black pepper and alcohol all continue to recall a trippel/BSA. Too much "sharpness" and raw graininess, as well.

Shared at Ale Alpharetta, brought by West. Cloudy yellow, with a big, white head. Nose is light biscuit dough, lemon zest, white bread, and a touch of piney hops. Sweet, with a bit of bitterness. Light body, crisp, and clean. This is a light and nice saison.

Bottle thanks to arminjewell, shared at Anchorage tasting June ’15: Popped the top and this came alive, gushing carbonation. Poured hazy yellow with white head. Aroma was barnyard funk. Taste is funky, citrus fruit, and apple. This was bottled in Jul ’13, even though I enjoyed it might have spent a little to long in my cellar.
