Pales In Comparison: Strata

Pint on tap at the brewery. It's a lightly hazy light brown-gold (like honey) with mild sparkle, finger-width off-white head with fair lacing. Aroma was subtle nondescript fruit and cracker. Taste followed aroma though the fruit had some identifiable pineapple character and crackers strong in the finish. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and mostly cracker finish with light lingering bitterness. Overall, yes a pale ale so the up front cracker makes sense, and the hops shouldn't be as forward as an IPA but a hop like Strata was underutilized here.
