On tap at Rock Bottom, Boston (2/20/21). It's an opaque black with no discernible sparkle, finger-width beige head wit excellent retention and nice rings of lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt and milder coffee. Taste is strong roasted earthy malt and coffee, which is a little on the burnt side of char, milk chocolate and a hint of yeast and fruit. Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and mostly dry bitter roasted finish. Overall, flavor is more interesting than the aroma and mouthfeel is nice. A little on the charred, bitter side.
