This IPA is bold & solid like Mount Pisgah, which respectfully flanks our quaint town of Colebrook, CT. Aggressively hopped with Citra, Mosaic, Amarillo, & El Dorado then balanced with pale, wheat, & caramel malts, which help create a smooth balanced ale.

7.5/10 Appearance 10 Aroma 7 Flavor 7 Texture 8 Overall 7
Can (12820127) pour. Appearance is crystal clear gold (been a while since I've had an IPA like this!) with nice sparkle, finger-plus white foamy head with decent retention and nice leggy lacing. Aroma is dank, mild citrus and fruit, malt backbone. Taste is dank, piney resin, mild fruit/melon, late biscuit. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with pleasant, moderately strong bitterness. Overall, maybe I just don't gravitate to this style anymore but this seems somewhat rare nowadays. All the way back before IPA's were opaque or bitter bombs when there was just flavor and modest bitterness. Seems like more could have been wrung from these hops and it's not going to wow anybody but it's still a nice change of pace to return to.
