Can pour into nonic pint glass. Appearance is cloudy light brown-orange with lots of large, dark floaties, no sparkle, finger-width, beige, foamy head with fair retention and mild soapy lacing. Aroma is sweet berries bordering on candied sugar, citrus, lighter pine and whiff of tart, overripe fruit. Taste is orange citrus, fruit, light pine, mild bitter herb, and an initial transient, pleasant benzene/gasoline burst toward the finish. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, soft-to-average carbonation and dry, mix of sweet and mildly bitter finish. Overall, pretty amazing complexity for a single-hop variety (and this was on the older side for an IPA). Well done. Too bad it looks like hell.
Initial orange burst, then a little flat after that. Disappointing. Jesus would not be happy about this.
